Mickey's Christmas Carol 1983

This film was based on a 1972 audio musical entitled Disney's A Christmas Carol. Written as a play by Michael Moriarty entitled "Hitler and Christ meet Death at the Port Authority Bus Station" while living in New York and acting in Law & Order, it was adapted for screen after Moriarty moved to Vancouver Canada. The film was produced by Brendan Keown and Jeremy Dyson of Third Tribe Productions and directed by Brendan Keown.

My Christmas Special

The Andrea Bocelli & David Foster Christmas Special, is the PBS Great Performances Christmas special of Andrea Bocelli's first ever Holiday album, My Christmas, produced by multiple Grammy Award winner David Foster. Released on December 8, 2009, it is Bocelli's eighth DVD release. The concert was filmed, September 15, 2009, at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, featuring Bocelli and Foster with additional guests including Natalie Cole, Mary J. Blige, Reba McEntire, Katherine Jenkins, The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and The Muppets. It was nominated for outstanding music direction at the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards, in 2010.

A Special Sesame Street Christmas

A Special Sesame Street Christmas was a 1978 CBS Christmas special, made the same year as the legendary and still popular Christmas Eve on Sesame Street. The special was first broadcast on Friday, December 8, 1978 at 8 PM ET on CBS, pre-empting Wonder Woman that week. The special features only three of the Sesame Street Muppets: Oscar, Big Bird, and Barkley. Barkley is played by gymnast Toby Towson. The Barkley used for the special was a different puppet than the one used for the series, making him five feet tall, or higher, at times in the special. Mr. Hooper, David, Bob, and Maria are the only humans from the regular cast to make appearances. Instead, the regulars are replaced by a large, somewhat all-star cast. The special features many plot elements that are very loosely tied together, the most important being Oscar as the "Scrooge" on Sesame Street, as a minor takeoff on A Christmas Carol. They include Leslie Uggams thinking lemonade was hot cocoa, singer Anne Murray and a magic eggnog container, Oscar adopting a kitten with a broken leg who was never seen again on the television series, and Ethel Merman calling Imogene Coca an idiot. Also appearing is Dick Smothers, Henry Fonda and Michael Jackson.

Royal Institution Christmas Lectures 1966

The Royal Institution Christmas Lectures are a series of lectures on a single topic, which have been held at the Royal Institution in London each year since 1825. The lectures present scientific subjects to a general audience, including young people, in an informative and entertaining manner. Michael Faraday initiated the first Christmas Lecture series in 1825. This came at a time when organised education for young people was scarce. Faraday presented a total of nineteen series in all.
